Join JCF and other nonprofit community leaders on a guided walk of a 3.5 mile segment of The čičməhán Trail, co-hosted by the Native Connections Action group and  trail co-founders Celeste Dybeck & Lys Burden.

This 2 hour walking tour offers local nonprofit leaders an opportunity to develop a deeper sense of place and to gain critical historical context and understanding about the Native presence, past and current, on the Qatay Peninsula.

Named after the last hereditary Chief of the S’Klallam People, the The čičməhán Trail, also referred to as the Chetzemoka Trail, highlights numerous important historical events and locations from mid-1800s to the early 1900s. The čičməhán Trail Walk is intended to educate the public about the relationship between the S’Klallam people who lived here since Time Immemorial on the peninsula they called Qatay, and the European Settlers who arrived in Port Townsend in the mid-19th Century.
