I am JCF: I am invested in growing local nonprofits.
I was attracted by one of the key missions of JCF, to serve as guide and resource to the many nonprofit organizations in Jefferson County. With this large outreach, anyone in the community can find areas of interest to contribute skills, support and funds. I have been honored to facilitate the journey of essential and relevant nonprofits who are navigating evolutionary and revolutionary change and strategic planning. As a certified change management professional, I envision my impact is that the organizations I work with will have a clear path through change, inspiring visions and missions, challenging but achievable stategic goals, and boards and staff that are working to their highest potential.

I am JCF: I am invested in ending hunger.
I was drawn to JCF because they were focused on helping Jefferson County. I worked with the people, and they were amazing! They were helpful, provided tools and information and acted as a resource to the community and other non-profits. I see my contribution as both in-kind services as well as financial. I would like to think that I am making the community a better place for everyone through volunteering and donations.

I am JCF: I am invested in the future wellbeing of Jefferson County.
The aggregate positive impact that Jefferson Community Foundations makes on the community attracted me to work with JCF . It seems to be the place in the county that is doing the greatest good that impacts the greatest number of people. That is something I want to be a part of. The basic law of attraction says that like attracts like. If what I put into JCF brings even one other person to the table, I have doubled my efforts. My hope is that those impacts will carry forward to future generations.

We are JCF: We are invested in strong community leaders.
Being familiar with the role of Community Foundations in the growth and development of small towns and knowing no such organization existed in Jefferson County, Anne was one of the Founders of JCF. Under the leadership of Siobhan Canty we have seen JCF grow from a nascent seed to a community-based organization with over $5M under management and over 132 non-profits receiving financial and management support. Now hundreds, if not thousands of people, have benefited from the generosity of local citizens and guidance from JCF. Strategic philanthropy has been our goal. Through the work of JCF we have insisted on accountability from the non-profit community-based organizations and by asking the right questions we seek to ensure our giving meets objectives. We work together to develop strong leaders with financial skills and foresight to identify and meet community needs.

I am JCF: I am invested in affordable workforce housing.
After being asked to serve on the JCF board, I understood the significant role of a community foundation. It is the one non-profit whose focus area is the entire community. I would like to see middle income community members be able to afford quality housing. I want to live in a community that has young families. And I want members of our workforce to be able to live in the community in which they work.
