Jefferson Community Foundation is a public charity, recognized as such by the Internal Revenue Service under section 501(c)(3). As such, the Community Foundation is committed to excellence in fiscal stewardship and transparency.
Finance Committee
In addition to oversight by the JCF Board of Directors, all of JCF’s financial activities are guided by a Finance Committee that includes: Katie Oman, Chief Operating Officer of NW Maritime Center; Susea Albee, Accountant; Michael Pace, Founder & Executive Director of the Social Good Fund; Tina Flores-McCleese, Clarity Enterprises; and Nicole O’Hara, JCF Finance Manager.
Investment Strategy
JCF does its investing through a partnership with Greater Tacoma Community Foundation (GTCF) and holds a permanent seat on GTCF’s Investment Advisory Committee. In doing so, our funds benefit from extensive oversight and are part of a much larger $160 million pool that receives better opportunities for returns.
