FOOD FOR YOUNG PEOPLE
All of the school systems are providing food to young people on weekdays. All are providing pick-up and delivery by school buses to their usual pick up points. On weekends, the three weekend feeding programs (Backpacks for Kids PT, Chimacum Backpacks and Weekend Nutrition Program in Quilcene) are providing weekend food.

While closed, schools are allowed to provide food to all children up to age 18 but not their caregivers. Community Wellness Project is filling the gap by working with the Chimacum Schools to identify those families in need and coordinate delivery of food for the caregivers in low income families.
